+Do you ship internationally?

Yes. However, at this stage, there is no checkout option on the site itself that automatically calculates international shipping costs, due to the variety of sizes, options such as matting, etc. Please contact me for a quote on international shipping and we can arrange an invoice.

+Do you offer prints not available in the store?

Yes. Most photos anywhere on the main site are available by request, provided they have not been part of a limited edition run. Sizing options will depend on the photograph.

+What are Limited Edition prints?

Exactly what they sound like. A specified number of prints will be available in a specific size – once this many have been sold, none will ever be sold or distributed again. These prints are signed and hand-numbered on the reverse of the print. The corresponding Certificate of Authenticity is likewise hand-numbered and stamped with my personal seal. The reverse of each print also features an official serialized hologram registered with Hahnemühle. The CoA bears an identically numbered hologram.

+What kind of paper do you use?

I exclusively use Hahnemühle papers. Hahnemühle is one of the oldest paper manufacturers of artist paper, dating back to 1584, when a paper mill was constructed in the Solling mountains of Dassel in Lower Saxony – the mill exists to this day. Their fine art media is second to none with unparalleled dimensionality, detail, contrast, tonality, and standard of quality.

If the caliber and superiority of their products weren’t enough, Hahnemühle is committed to environmental consciousness; natural underground springs provide the water; most papers are FSC- or PEFC-certified, lignin-free cellulose, sourced from sustainably managed forests. Other papers are crafted from renewable alternatives such as bamboo, hemp, and agave. All of their electricity is generated from renewable energy sources. Recycling – including their own scraps which are cycled back into manufacturing – is a vital part of their production and distribution material. Beyond that, their “Green Rooster” initiative supports reforestation, animal protection, and environmental education programs.

Having used a vast variety of media from manufacturers like Epson, Canson, Ilford, Moab – while all great in their own right – I settled on Hahnemühle media exclusively due to their excellence of quality, history, commitment to the environment, and superbly consistent quality control.

+Do you offer framing and/or matting?

I do offer matting as an optional service. I don’t keep a huge supply of mats on hand, so there will be an additional 5-14 days before I can ship the print(s), depending on the size and whether it requires custom-cut mats. I use Archival Methods products, which are 4-ply beveled exhibition mats with 2-ply backing board. Matting is done without adhesive – the print can always be easily removed. All products are acid-free archival grade.

I do not offer framing. There are far too many variables, options, and personal preferences such that I feel it is best for the myself and the buyer to either frame the artwork themselves or have it professionally framed/matted. And it would probably be cheaper as well. Matted artwork can be inserted directly into an appropriately sized frame; they can also be displayed unframed should you choose.

+What is the largest size you offer?

The largest common size is 17x22. Prints exceeding 22” on the long side are available (e.g. 16x24, 15x30, 17x40, etc.), however these require a different printing process on my end, so they are usually by request only. Occasionally these sizes may be offered as Limited Edition prints in the store.

+Are these archival grade?

Yes! All materials are archival, museum-quality grade. Hahnemühle is one of the oldest companies in the world and produces the highest quality fine art papers that you can find. Archival Methods - whose products I use for matting - are well-known as one of the best suppliers for archival grade materials.

+Can the print be unmatted if I choose to do so later?

Absolutely. Prints are matted non-destructively without glue or adhesive, so the prints can easily be separated from the mat boards later.

+Do You do custom requests?

Absolutely, unless 1) the requested photo is part of a prior limited edition run, or 2) the work cannot be printed for sale due to contractual issues. Otherwise, any photo on the site can be printed at whatever size. B&W variants are even available for many color prints.
